How Our PCO Technology Works.

Puraclenz Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) uses a light-powered chemical process to generate a continuous army of ions to proactively break down pollutants outside of the purifier – mid-air, on surfaces and fabrics. It can get to those hard-to-reach places that other filtration technologies simply can’t. Conventional air purifiers have no impact on surface pollutants because they can’t be carried through the air and removed by filtration.

The patented Recharge Cell inside each Puraclenz purifier is uniquely designed with turbine-like fins and proprietary nanocoating to create a much higher density of ozone-free ions compared to other PCO products.

For best results with mold on surfaces in your home or business, first apply surface cleaners to remove mold from these affected areas. Efficacy tests confirm that a Puraclenz P3000 unit is proven to be more than 99.7% effective at reducing airborne, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE).MSRE is an FDA-recognized surrogate for MRSA, strep pneumoniae, and strep pyogenes, bacterial organisms responsible for many difficult-to-treat and deadly infections.

Puraclenz is certified safe to use.

Unlike many other ionic purifiers, Puraclenz is Zero Ozone certified and proven by independent laboratory tests to not create VOC byproducts including formaldehyde and ultrafine particles. It’s safe to use continuously around people and animals. More than 40 years of peer reviewed studies have been performed on PCO technology by third-party independent labs and universities to deactivate pathogens. Puraclenz models P750, P1500, P3000 and C750 have received the following certifications:

1. Models P750, P1500, P3000 and C750 have passed UL2998, Environmental Claim Validation Procedure (ECVP) for Zero Ozone Emissions from Air Cleaners.

2. Intertek ETL conforming to UL 507 safety standards.

3. CARB (California Air Resources Board), the gold standard for air purifier safety. Listed under EO#21-214, EO#21-430 and EO#21-561. Puraclenz products can be sold in California.

4. FCC compliance (CFR 47, FCC Part 15, Subpart B).

5. European Union Restriction on Hazardous Substances (ROHS) and California Proposition 65 conforming.
